In September 2008 Smart Alloy Ltd was launched after setting up and running a successful pilot scheme in the Sussex area. The decision was made to expand the business by developing a franchise network following the success of the Sussex business model.
Colm the managing director says, ‘After running the pilot scheme we quickly realised that the market for alloy repairs was huge and the demand for the service ever increasing. In a recent survey four out of five motorists said that they have had alloy wheel damage and three out of five said they have had pot hole damage – the statistics make it quite clear that this market sector is massive and that our service will always be in demand. I firmly believe that to run a successful franchise it is crucial to have the full support of the franchisor and team. Through our websites and team we generate on average 72% of the franchisee’s business. We distribute and allocate work through our internet contact and customer management system, which means our franchisees can concentrate on repairing and refurbishing alloy wheels. The franchise offers the best of both worlds – all the benefits of working for yourself with the full support of our franchise group.’

We offer large geographical areas to our franchisees to enable them to not only develop a successful mobile service but also to give them the opportunity to expand their business. Smart Alloy have set up franchisees operating in many of the UK’s cities including Liverpool, Brighton and London and since then have helped our franchisees develop and maintain successful and profitable businesses in their areas. We are looking to have a full national network and therefore we would be keen to meet potential franchisees that would like to join our team and become a successful Smart Alloy Franchisee.
